Jed Reiff and Claudio Koller
2025
Behind every local soccer club, there are people with a dream

On December 15, 2024, Claudio Koller and I, Jed Reiff, participated in the Silversterlauf Pink Ribbon Run alongside 30 members of FC Neumünster, our local football club based in Witikon, Zurich, and were proud to wear our TOY Caps while running. I currently serve as the club’s president and first-team coach, while Claudio, a former player and past board member, contributed many years to the club and remains closely connected. Sadly, our club has been without junior teams since 2019, which means we rely on local players and financial support to keep the club afloat.
In most football clubs, it’s tradition for active (adult) players to volunteer their time supporting junior teams. Without juniors, we’ve instead used our positions on the board to encourage players to give back to the community in other ways. In 2021-22, we raised awareness against violence toward women by designing warm-up shirts and donating to Mädchenhaus Zürich, and in 2023, we supported a Zurich-based organization running football programs in Brazilian favelas. This year, we made the Pink Ribbon Charity Run a yearly tradition. It’s a meaningful cause, a way to give back, and an opportunity to raise awareness about our club. It’s been a simple but rewarding way to strengthen bonds within the club while making a small positive impact in Zurich, as we try to grow the club to match our recent sporting success. If you're interested in learning more about FC Neumünster-Zürich or following our first team visit www.fcneumuenster.ch and follow us on Instagram @fcneumuenster1.
Thank you Jed and Claudio for committing to the next generation of sportsmen.
Love and TOY Monique
